Rube's this isn't. With a little effort, this place could be much better. Rather than using a gas grill, like everyone has at home, it would be great to use charcoal. The steak quality is pretty good, but they don't make them look appetizing. The display case should be full of steaks... It looks much more appealing. If you can't fill it, then the display case should be much smaller. More attentive, quicker service would also be appreciated.

Incredibly disappointed. It was my first time coming from Puerto Rico and we were a big group very excited since we heard good things about the place. Let's start with no one answering the phone, apparently they disconnected it, the famous grill was off because it made the place too hot, and half of the draft beers didn't work. We got there roughly at 6:30pm, waiter took our drink order, those arrived 20 minutes later. More time passed and it was 7:10pm and still NO one took our order. We paid for our drinks and left.

The food was great but the service was so bad, I think we got the one person who didn't know how to speak to people. Just a tip yelling 'next' when you want another person's order is rude as hell, say 'and what would you like'. Sticking your thumb in someone's salad while serving them is disgusting, use a tray if you need to. I really hope he reads this and improves because other than that it was fine. We could tell our server seemed overworked but when you spend hundreds of dollars to take someone out that you haven't seen for years I expect a little more than what I got. So. Good food. Train your people. Wouldn't go back.

Waitress forgot to bring salads out first and finally brought after checking with the kitchen. Husband's Texas toast was forgotten. Friend's steaks were under cooked. Prices were extremely high and alot of extra charges. Very disappointed from 1st couple times we were here.

Our waiter was very busy..he was the bartender / busboy /waiter / server. We tiped him well only because he was doing so much and working hard. He clearly wasn't happy about that however... He needs more training, For instance... He took 6 orders from our 2 tables and as he went from person to person he'd say... "Next"..... "Next"..."Next"??? We paid good money to eat here and were treated like we were waiting in a line at Walmart so he needs the correct training on how to take food orders. Also serving our food... his thumb was in it while passing our plates... no gloves...Um....thats just gross. I commend him on running nonstop serving, cleaning tables, and whatever duties he had and on top of that as staff was very limited but not our fault...more training in the future would boost your business... Also they were out of alot of things that we wanted which was a bummer

It was great especially Melissa she was an amazing waitress great food great service great atmosphere especially for someone who doesn’t do cheat meals this is one of the best places in Iowa if you want actual good food

Great ambience and service. The restaurant is famous for its streaks which were cooked to the right point we requested. They also offer the option of grill-your-own which we've done in the past but we decided to go with the option of having the chef grill it for us.
